The shelter site is located in a coniferous vegetation on the edge of Gludsted Plantation, which with its 3400 hectares is one of the country's largest.
The nature trail on the disused railway, The Crooked Railway, is located right next to the square, which on this part of the stretch is gravel.
The shelter site has two shelters each with room for approx. 6 people. The shelters cannot be booked, but are used on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is a compost toilet, but no drinking water and no fires are allowed.
